As the national umbrella organization, the German Fruit Trade Association (DFHV) represents the interests of all companies involved in the fresh fruit and vegetable trade. This includes businesses engaged in direct marketing, wholesale, import and export, as well as those in the food retail.

Representing Germany’s Fresh Produce Trade Since 1947

The German Fruit Trade Association (DFHV) has a proud history spanning more than 75 years. In its current form, the association was established on January 1, 2000, through the merger of two long-standing organizations: the Central Association of German Fruit Importers and Wholesalers (ZVF, founded in 1948) and the Hanseatic Association of Fruit Importers and Wholesalers (founded in 1947). Following this merger, additional regional associations and member companies joined the DFHV. This consolidation reflected a shared commitment among German fruit trade businesses to unify their efforts and strengthen their collective voice within the industry.
